Build a database and have a flood of cashed-up customers on-demand
The reality of emails
Sending emails for free to your customers is a great idea. But it's not a perfect solution. Here's why... Some people don't actually like getting things sent to their email, particularly if they relate to them spending money on something they didn't ask for. Some people, particularly older people, like to get the traditional mail, because it is 'real' in their perception. Lots of people simply don't have an email address. And finally, spam protection has become so sophisticated that a lot of emails that legitimate businesses like yours send to customers who have asked to receive it, simply get bumped out by the system - your customer never even sees your email, and doesn't even know you sent them one. So you need to cover both bases. You need to do both normal mail and email as part of your strategies.
