How to do it right

Your sales and your relationships with your customers improve a lot when you send your email to each customer individually. So only their own email address appears in the "To" field. It looks better, makes them feel safe and you have avoided making them feel like a number in a database.

But your sales rate really starts to climb when you simply put their first name in their email, and use their name throughout the rest of the email.

It really gets your attention when someone calls you by your first name, and it makes you read at least the first line of the email instead of just ignoring it when you realise it is a mass email to your entire customer base.

For example, instead of "Hi friend" it becomes...

"Hi Jason"

"Hi Emma"

"Hi Jessica" .... and so on.

Not only that, but with special software you can automatically put their name throughout the entire email, to keep sparking their attention every time they see their own name, and building a personal relationship with each and every customer.

You don't have to individually cut-and-paste their name into each email, and send them one by one.

You just load your database into the software with their first names and email addresses, and the software sends them out all at once, saving you heaps of valuable time and energy, and it will merge their individual names and email addresses into each email - sending the right email to the right person every single time.

All with the click of a few buttons.

For example, it is really easy to do something like this with each customer...

Hi Jason,

Just letting you know about our upcoming massage retreat, and to give you the details.

Jason, did you know that you can bring a friend for free?

Got anybody you want to bring along?

I'll see you there, Jason.

All the best,

Unity

See what I mean?

That example might be a bit over-the-top, but I'm sure you get the point.

You can build a caring, trusting, personal relationship with each customer.

The same software can send out an individual email with the correct names in it to each customer, so that they receive an email designed specifically for them.

It makes a huge difference.

On the internet, where everyone is getting spammed heavily by all sorts of useless advertisements, it makes you stand out if it looks like you took the time to be personal, to think of their name, and talk directly to them like a friend.

I've had it done to me by other companies, and it works.

I've done it to my customers, and it works.

It takes about 5 minutes to set up the system, then let the software do the rest.

This is far better and will get better results with sales in the short term, and relationships in the long term, if you do it this way - especially as your database grows large.

That's one power of using special professional email software instead of something like Outlook, Hotmail or Yahoo.

Here's some of the professional email services I've used and recommend...
