Why most people don't buy from websites

Let's say your business is yoga classes...

How many of your customers are going to buy their yoga classes from your website and risk their credit card number getting stolen in transit...

...instead of paying you at the class where they can physically see you and your lovely smiling face that they know and trust?

Or if you have a shop or massage place, and 98% of your customers live in your town, why would they buy over the web when they can just drop in to see you instead?

So in most cases, the website won't be making sales right there and then by itself.

It might do a tiny amount of that, but not a huge source of your income stream.

But what it will do, and often do very well if set up right, is take the customers right up to the point where they are ready to buy.

Your website is your salesperson who talks them into agreeing to try your stuff, or book another appointment, or refer their friends to you, and so on.

But it hands over the actual final sale to you.

Your website provides information, and takes the customer 90% of the way through the sales process.

Then you actually close the sale in person.
