So customers are using your website purely for information

Here's the difference between a traditional "real-world" offline business, and an online website...

Offline, put your business where people crowd by... and you're all set. Get your cash register ready! It's all about "location, location, location."

Online, the fundamental reality of how people use the Web is different. No one "passes by." They search for "information, information, information."

Given that most customers use your website for information only in order to make a buying decision, how can you use that behaviour to increase your business profit?

How can you make your website a source of awesome and truly expert information...

...and at the same time, help the sales process along?

By doing this:

PREsell instead of SELL.

Give them awesome info and build a quality, trusting relationship, instead of trying to SELL stuff to them.

You pre-sell by giving away heaps of interesting, captivating, practical, useable information that the readers can apply in their lives right away.

This really makes you stand out from the crowd on the web.

Build your site more as a reference for solid information on topics you are an expert at.

Establish yourself as a reputable, dependable expert.

Then, you can capitalise on your position as an authority and drive some business from your website.

If you try to do it the other way round - ie, sell first then build relationship later, it won't work...

...because people on the internet are simply bombarded with sales pitches every single site they go to, and they just shut down and move on to the next site when they see a site that is "just another boring sales pitch".
