The law of website marketing...

PREsell instead of SELL

In its simplest form, there are 2 main factors for increasing your website's sales process...

  1. Give good, solid, interesting, captivating, in-depth information
  2. Entice these one-time visitors to join your email database, so in effect you can keep marketing to them, instead of never seeing or hearing from them again.

First, you have to make your website full of good info - hard to find info, info that is worth finding.

Most websites put up tiny summaries of their products, and leave it at that.

Why not go a bit further, and tell an interesting story about the history of the product?

For example...

  • Was it originally made in medieval China for Emperors and used by wise sages to cleanse the energy channels of people who were seeking Enlightenment... and here's the exact secret process...?
  • Is it made from some rare precious material that is formed under pressure of huge mountains at temperatures like those found inside the sun (with pictures to demonstrate the process involved), and that is why this particular product is unique and valuable?
  • Is there an ancient technique involved that you can teach on your website in the form of animations or pictures, so your readers can study and improve their lives?

Can you think of other interesting pieces of information to relate about your products or service?

An example of a site that gives away heaps of solid information

If you run a business that gives advice - naturopath, psychic, even yoga teachers and healers and similar businesses...

...then you can offer a question and answer section - customers their questions and you provide the expert answer free of charge... but you display everyone's questions and answers on your website (without their names if it's a personal thing).

Offer your phone number at the bottom of the page and encourage readers to call you if they need some advice.

Stand out as going that extra step further, providing a valuable information service.

And help people get in touch with you - these people become your customers.

One more major important thing that you must include on your website is...
